Grandsons cycle 44km for grandma, raising £1,000 to Beat Macular Disease

A grandmother has spoken of her pride after her grandsons, aged just 10 and 12 cycled more than 40km to raise more than £1,000 for macular research on her behalf.

Running in remembrance: raising funds for macular disease

Every year, Susan runs the Great North Run in memory of her father, Neale, who was diagnosed with wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Through her fundraising for the Macular Society, she has raised thousands to support vital research, awareness, and services for people affected by macular disease, keeping her father’s memory alive while helping others.
